20 Dec New kayak fleet

We are excited to share that we now have a brand new kayaking fleet at Camp Illawonga. Through our sister brand, Beyond the Classroom, we have introduced a large fleet of double and single Perception kayaks imported from New Zealand.

The kayaks are perfect for school groups and private groups wanting to explore the Murray River on a half day, full day or multi day kayak journey. The kayaks have rudders and storage compartments for gear.

Beyond the Classroom are now offering a range of kayaking experiences on the Murray River. Departing from Camp Illawonga, we can paddle into the Punyelroo Lagoon and explore the Punyelroo Cave.

We also have a great longer paddle through some backwaters too. For schools wanting a multi day journey, we have a wonderful itinerary paddling from Camp Illawonga, past Big Bend and down to Ngaut Gnaut Conservation Park. This is a 3 day journey, sleeping on the riverbank and taking everything with us in our kayaks. A real river adventure.
